Does your smile give away your age? Does it make you look older than you really are?

It doesn’t have to. There are several simple things you can do to revitalize your smile and turn back the clock in the process. Brush, floss and see your dentist regularly to prevent or treat tooth decay and gum disease.

A healthy smile looks attractive and youthful. Whiten your teeth. Lighter teeth look younger---just look at the children around you. If you would like to lighten your teeth, you have several options, including inexpensive drug store products to stronger, stronger and more effective professional whitening treatments, and other more customized options.

Wear a night guard if your teeth show signs of wear. Older people tend to have shorter teeth at the biting edge---they’ve been used more! Longer teeth and scalloped edges are more youthful looking than short, flat edged teeth.

Restore length and shape of worn teeth. Bonding or veneers on your existing teeth can restore the look you had as a young adult. These procedures can also improve the shape, positioning and color of your teeth, too. Reverse Gum Recession.

Some people’s teeth actually look too long — from the base of the tooth and have “dark holes” between the teeth. After providing you with a diagnosis, your dentist can often the lower the gum line on your teeth to give you a more natural appearance. Your dentist can help you decide what treatments will work best for you.

Keep smiling!
